I Was a Cheerleader

some of the best moments in my life were being part of my squad . . . people think cheerleading is a real sport but it takes a ton of strength and coordination and team work . . . and it is totally fun!! i really miss it!!

That is true tamzyn. It should be a sport unto it's self
aldnazmeister · 56-60, M
tamzyn, I imagine that there is plenty of hard work and practice that goes into the routines. It takes plenty of strength and stamina.

i actually seriously thought about becoming a coach . . . but i didn't know if i could make a career out of it and was encouraged to do something more 'serious' . . . anyway i'm in nursing school now . . . not much time for anything else.

mrblueforyou, its a deal!!! though i'd have to round up some of my squadmates too

Hey your school colors are the same as mine were! I wasn't on the squad, but you're right about the skill they needed. :-)

We don't really have cheerleaders in school here but I think it's a cute way to stay fit

It's definitely a real sport. I've not done it, but I do gymnastics and I would love to cheer lead . . it must be amazing in front of a big audience.

It looks a lot of fun 😀

I always liked cheerleaders; like gymnast, many of them were in good shape and had nice legs. :)

Some schools and even the NFL are making it a union

Anybody who doesn't think cheer is a sport has never actually talked to a cheerleader or watched them practice!
th3r0n · 41-45, M
I would consider it more of a gymnastic dance show than a sport, though in many ways it requires more skill than sports do.
Maybe I'll hire to be my cheerleader! When I have a challenging day you come and do your thing to inspire me on to greatness!
Its a deal then! I see a very bright future for us here! How would get me through the next big traffic jam?
Well if that's your passion pursue it but you could always help coach later. Not full time.
Drswag69 · 31-35, M
Well judging from your profile pic you do have a nice body for cheerleading
wudifu · 46-50, M
what the worst injury you had while training
GirlSerendipity · 26-30, F
@wudifu: nothing horrible . . . sprained ankle once . . . several bruises . . . thanks for asking
