Did you ever do cheerleading without socks?

I've heard some do that at practice, but recently I read something interesting about it at games too. Apparently some schools require either white socks or no socks so many often end up having to take off their socks if they aren't wearing the right ones before putting on their cheer shoes. I was a little surprised by this as I had always thought socks were normally required for games, and also if sockless was allowed, why not other colors. But maybe that's more common than I thought; did you have rules like that?
