I Skipped School
I didn't skip much school, but when I went to College and had freedom for the first time, my freshman year I did stop going to some classes. I will always remember my Chemistry class. I had a English course, and then to get to Chemistry I had to walk across campus, passing right by my dorm. It started by me first just stopping at my dorm room to get a drink or snack, then evolved into me just staying in my dorm room and not going to class at all. The first test of which I didn't go to much class, I got an A on, which basically confirmed to me that I didn't need to go. So I stopped going completely.
Next test I got a B, the next a C. By that time I was already in too deep of not going, and being a dumb freshman I still didn't go even though my test grades were dropping. When I showed up for the final, I noticed that most people had one notecard, as I listened in to conversations around me, I found out that we were allowed to have 1 notecard for the test, that we could have whatever information that we wanted on it. I had no idea!! I scrambled in my backpack and found 1 notecard and tried to write down all of the things I thought I might need in the 5 minutes before the test. Needless to say, I learned my lesson and never skipped a class again.
