I "Am Very Open-minded"

She said she needed to see me so I dropped by, and made sure I brought her dinner. I got her favorite salad from her favorite place, and even ordered it without bleu cheese, just as she always does. I think she really appreciated that I actually listen to her, because she doesn't think anyone listens to what she says, does or wants.

She asked me over because she had some issues that were important to her and needed input from someone that won't "judge" her. I listened, was supportive, empathetic and understanding. All was going well until I got a text from, as she put it "that foolish woman" and the minute my attention wavered from her, she seemed annoyed, put off, even a little jealous. She seems to have issues with any woman who captures my attention, yet when I pointed this out, she got very annoyed.

My point is, I'm a bit confused by her irritation. If Shes not "in love" with me as she says, what's the issue? I support her hopes, dreams, her viewpoints, so why can't she support me if someone wants to give me what she can't?
