I Am Brutally Honest
I'm one of those people that tell it like it is, even if it hurts. Don't expect me to sugarcoat it because I refuse to do it. Are you a brutally honest person?

I can be at times.
It depends on the situation.
Usually, if it's necessary to share facts that might be unwelcome, I will preface it with, "I need to say which I fear you won't like." Generally that has the effect of preparing them to cope with whatever it is. It tends to make talking about it easier.
I don't use truth to deliberately hurt anyone.
I value reality above all else, whether pleasant or not. When others are honest with me I appreciate it, so much so that I choose my friends based on their predisposition to be open and direct. Because of this, being honest is never a problem; it deepens mutual understanding and enhances intimacy and love.
