I Have Eczema

I have eczema.

I hate it. It makes me feel disgusting..and brings me so much pain. I hate not being able to stop scratching, such a simple task yet I cannot do it. Sometimes I don't even notice I'm scratching till I feel the blood. 😔 I wish I knew my triggers.

I feel towards you.

My brother has psoriasis, while different, I can feel his anxiety over it and how it affects him. He does a broad apology when you get in his car for the flakes of skin everywhere, when he doesn't need to.

My guess, for you, which is a guess - would anxiety be a trigger?
@SW-User right now, I know the heat + sweat is making it worse. But I've heard that most time eczema is well maintained with steroid creams, and a good diet avoiding "triggers". Steroid creams irritate my skin worse, and I have no idea what could be a trigger.

My sister used to tell me that I couldn't sleep in her bed, or sit in her bed because I'd leave dead skin on it and she didn't like it. He must've gotten a comment about it a few times and just forever apologizes. Poor lad. 😔

@StayGold There can be food triggers, yes.

I wouldn't describe myself as having eczema. I have had small batches but they went away after I stopped drinking lots of soy milk. For me, a minor allergy. The result, when in excess, is an occasional small patch on my skin (red and flaky) usually on my face. Irritated me to no end despite how minor.

I'm sure you have explored food allergies.

I don't know if he ever got a comment. He's very courteous and self-conscious and from what I know of my brother that would be enough to make him apologize. But you never know, I say this with laughter, his wife when they stayed at our parents when he was having a shower would yell up.... Jeff, now can you reduce your butt size! (she's a very sweet Thai woman, I know she wasn't being rude, but if she's willing to say that in front of me (let alone our Mum) she may say something about the flakes!

Your sister responds different now?

Doing the dishes burns because I have it on my knuckles, I hate it. So does showering :|
@SW-User I find that after doing the dishes too often, my hands start to dry out, crack and bleed. 😭 Literally why I avoid doing them, but they must be done!
