The problem here is that a mask mostly protects others. You're protected because I wear one and I'm protected because everyone else wears them. So it's not really a personal choice. I'm glad you're vaccinated and don't need me to wear one, but I'm not vaccinated yet and still rely on others to keep wearing theirs. That's why I'll keep wearing mine until everyone has their shots.
But that said, it's nice to see the hate against them ebbing away.
