I Am Searching

I just saw the movie "Your Name" (I recommend watching it) and it inspired me to write here.

“I feel like I’m always searching for something, someone..."

This sentiment struck a chord with me for a variety of reasons. A younger me came to mind. I used to search for magic in the world. Something extraordinary. That feeling faded with time and searching for a sense of belonging took its place. Now that I think about it, that is one of the reasons I ended in the old EP. It seems common yet feels foreign. Along the way I was found and I believe I found what I had been searching for. But I find myself missing that feeling that there is more out there. That underneath the ordinary aspects of our lived the is something truly extraordinary to find. Stuck in routines and endless thought cycles, facing the same monsters, and unmoving. I think it is time to embrace that sentiment again.
