There have been some studies showing social media interaction has actually made people less social irl. As a result, they retreat even further into a digital world and the relationships there, often limiting themselves to distant socializing.

@SW-User It's easy to understand, for sure. Personally, I sometimes spend more time on my phone in crowded places where I could be interacting with others instead of reacting to people I can't even see.

Yes it is. I think the ability to communicate with people face to face will suffer a great deal in the younger generations.
