I Hate The Education System

Making children winners even they lose... I understand why this is done, but I think it's the absolute wrong thing to do. What are we really teaching children by telling them that everyone is a winner? That it's okay to lose? Not in the real world it isn't. When they grow up, they're going to learn that not everyone is a winner and you're not going to get anywhere in life by being a loser.

Is that not what the education system is all about - preparing children for the real world when they grow up? Making believe it's okay to fail is the exact opposite of that! Again, I understand that it's done to spare children's feelings and not make them feel bad, but I think that too is ridiculous. Being disappointed is a part of life, especially during childhood! You're doing far greater damage to them by teaching them that they're winners all the time.

Once they grow up, reality hits them hard and they learn it's not okay to be a loser anymore. This is probably why you get all these teenagers who feel like the world is out to get them and even become suicidal over it, because they were taught that they're winners no matter what all their lives, only to get overwhelmed once they come of age and have to grow up and start accepting responsibility.

Children should be taught that they win some and they lose some, but them losing only shows that they need to improve so that they can win next time. I'd say that's a much more valuable lesson than teaching them that they never need to better themselves and having them believe they can go about life never succeeding at anything. This codding of children needs to stop, period.

The education system has been bad for a while. I know that when I was in school they set it up only for a select group of kids to succeed after school and for everyone else it was like okay fucking beaners, go join a construction crew or go join the United States bull shit slave military. That or go end up dead or in jail.

Teachers, counselors and administration weren’t even efficient at their own job. They were and still are lazy and incompetent and lack professionalism.

Spot on! Why we've got such a generation of entitled kids. Not all, of course, when parents handle this more realistically.
I do believe we are experiencing the results of "everyone is a winner"
