Hehe i can totally relate to that. I take many things very literal as well. Maybe cause it can be hard to spot sarcasm in a secondary language.
But yeah, switching it off in a literal sense would be very bad ;)
Being someone who works with hypnosis for many many years by now, i do know about the "other" possibilities to do the switching off and relaxing though. Also know it is very possible, and usually quite enjoyable. Effects you can achieve with meditation, yoga.. or before mentioned hypnosis.
