The U.S. should convert our energy sector to solar and other clean, renewable energy sources and free ourselves from dependence on foreign oil. Also, invest in high-speed trains.

What a croc ! Obviously you are not an engineer . We can’t with known technology convert over to solar ... it’s impractical , unaffordable , and sadly lacking in its ability to provide enough energy . What seems clear is that you are a bleeding heart liberal , and that is all you know . 🙄

Necessary is destructive and the batteries can never be reused ... so environmentally , financially , and effectively all the facts point to solar as a fallacy . Millions would freeze to death in the winters ... the economy would stall , and you libs would blame Trump . You can rest assured ... it ain’t happening .

@badminton In 300 years ... I would imagine that technological advances will have allowed nuclear energy to be safe... or perhaps even a new energy source . But when every facet of human industrialization requires fossil fuels to operate ... solar is a joke
