I Keep a Gratitude Journal

I was grateful for myself to make the 1st step out of my comfort zone, which hopefully would be a closer step for success.

I gave the 1st prepared speech in my speech training program on ZOOM meeting last night, and was asked to give an impromptu speech too. People found the story in my prepared speech interesting; but I was reading the script too much. As for my impromptu speech, I was already happy that I could utter something even though it s messy in structure and there was dead air. It felt great to finish a task, to do something which is my weakness and I am doing something to overcome it. And the experience made me understand where my problem came from and so it s possible to find solutions for it - I need to develop a thinking system /procedure for speaking.

I m going to write it down in the training materials.

Congratulations on overcoming one of most people's worst fears, public speaking. And I commend you for taking on overcoming your weaknesses instead of ignoring them. You have a lot to celebrate.

Public speaking is always not easy. Great that you took it on and overcame your doubts!

@novembermoon in the process of overcoming, it s not easy and I think I will need spend years to get used to it. Some members there have joined the club for more than 20 years. It s like a family and people are supportive, love it there :)
