I Keep a Gratitude Journal

Finished reading a section of a book about how not to be adversely influenced by emotions:

1. Think about your purpose, your future self. Do you own judgement and carry out concrete, constructional action. This is the 1st step to be fearless against stress.

2. Build up your resilience by building up good, healthy inter-personal relationships, which allow you to vent and seek help healthily.

3. Be thankful, which will extinguish your anger.

4. Soften your brain (stop being stubborn) by writing down your options of choices and methods.

5. Be brave to give up, don't see giving up as necessarily bad. Human beings can't control everything. And there are things that cannot be reasoned, explained, or judged in a short time.

6. The 2 "if"s you should ask yourself when deciding whether to do something or not: "if I don't do it now, will I regret later?", "if I do it now, will I regret later?" Do not ask things you cannot control afterwards like :"if I had more time", or "if I had more money".

7. Happiness can moderate unpleasant emotions arisen from unpleasant experiences. It can also enhance memory and efficiency at work. Not only happy experiences, but also relieving landscape and things, could have positive effects.

8. Don't force yourself to separate life and work. Forgive yourself if you cannot put things down.

9. Learn the real positive thinking, by positively facing what you can do at present.

10. Find good (objective) excuses to yourself, don't put the blame to others, don't blame yourself too much that harm your self-value.
