Why do I stay when he consistently beats the heck outta me?
He could be having a bad day at work and literally comes home and smashes my face in. It gets really overwhelming and I want to leave but I'm scared what he'll do if I tried.

If you stay you will most likely die at his hand. It is very difficult because protection orders don't really work well. You must surround yourself with friends and family get away from him and buy yourself a weapon
@REMsleep all my friends are his friends too. I ran away from home so I'm couple of states away from family but they're crappy anyways so I'm not missing anything
@StayUP I agree with everything except buying yourself a weapon. This is not an ordinary man. This is a well-seasoned police officer. If you use a weapon at any point, he will use it against you, kill you and claim self defense.
