Why do I stay when he consistently beats the heck outta me?
He could be having a bad day at work and literally comes home and smashes my face in. It gets really overwhelming and I want to leave but I'm scared what he'll do if I tried.

Plan. Find a women's shelter near you and listen to what they tell you.
Document. Take pictures of bruises and wounds. But be careful -don't leave any proof or information on your phone or in the house or car where he could find it.
Break the silence. Tell people you trust and who can keep their mouths shut about the abuse. Do not tell anybody who might tell their husband or boyfriend who might tell him.
Get a go-pack together, at least in your head, of things you will want to take when you go.
