I Love Old Books

My home library, from 1790's to 1950's and everything in between. I love the handwritten dedications too. Books are my friend's ;) x

To keep your very old books in good codition, you may want to consider an airtight type of container for them

I did try that a few years ago, but it saddened me not to have them displayed how they were intended. I do dust regularly and they are on an interior wall (away from damp air). They have survived this long so I sort of leave the rest to fate! :D thanks for the advice though, it would be sensible if they were very rare I suppose. :)

I've given many away over the years. I gave one away here too, if I have any books that I know someone has a passion for, and will appreciate it, I give them away so I can buy more. I like to find them loving homes. I can't remember the users name, but the book was about mystics and the paranormal (1920's), I made someone very happy for the cost of postage :)
