I’m tired of being responsible for others happiness

It’s SUCH a responsibility, overwhelming and hard, yet exceedingly rewarding. Keep em happy, keep everyone happy. Show them love and strength, void of personal wants, a machine of positivity. ITS EXHAUSTING. Make sure THEY have a good day, THEY feel loved, wanted, needed...safe. Shoulder their worries, fight their demons, be their buffer for the world. I have no energy left. I’ve lost the drive that gets me through the day. I’m tired of being the deciding factor. It’s daunting. Why can’t I be them and they take a turn!

Cut them off. Who gives a fuck about their pathetic excuse feelings. That's what I did
It's not easy at first but it's easy to get use to it.

@FreestyleArt If it were that easy for me I’d do it. It’s always more complicated than it seems

Uh...you've got this wrong.

Nobody is responsible for my happiness except me. I choose whether to be happy or not. I choose whether to be unhappy. For me to place the responsibility for my happiness on someone else's shoulders is completely selfish and inappropriate.
A difficult to solve paradigm ... particularly when it is rewarding

Do provide us follow-up if you try something different

@questionWeaver it’s a cycle of insanity, same choices, same reward, same feelings. I think just venting will help take the edge off. No change in sight.
@CareBear420 venting is healthy!

What happens if you take a day off from those people?

@CareBear420 how so?
CareBear420 · 36-40, F
@Arorin well if you have someone cater to your every need, it sucks to lose

@CareBear420 I'm a caretaker for my grandparents. Grandma is on oxygen 100% of the time now and my grandpa is 93 barely able to walk, so I understand take care of people's needs. Sometimes I think I enable bad behavior where they rely on me to do things a professional should be doing, but sometimes taking a step back is what you need to do and even if they think the world is ending its still there after the tantrum.
Don't you have someone to make you feel that way too

@ExperienceDLT sometimes, though it’s not steadfast
@CareBear420 you deserve to be happy as well

Take a break and take care of yourself first.
CareBear420 · 36-40, F
@ABCDEF7 I’d like that very much but I’m obligated to put them first. I do try to find ways to not feel the pressure but it’s always short lived

@CareBear420 There is nothing bad in caring your loved ones, but you should be in good mental and physical form in order to do that, otherwise you will not be able to continue that for long.

You can take leave from work and also communicate with your loved ones. I am sure they will be able to understand. You need rest and rejuvenation.

Sometimes you HAVE TO take care of yourself. You just have to. *hugs* :(
