I'm trying to write a synopsis for my novel. Trying to sum up 90,000 words in just 500 is not any fun at all. The worst part is that I feel like it's making my story sound ridiculous.
I don't envy you I have written essays that won me metals ,but a book I have tried ,,the harder I try to condense details the less it makes sense too without explaining certain things ,they will never get it , not explaining how we got here ,they want to know how we got from here to there I can't do it I write long posts ,and throw grammar and punctuation to the wind , No one would read my books you would need a forklift to put it on a table
@greenmountaingal I'm looking for an agent to help me get my book published. Many agents require a query letter and a synopsis. I'm not going to pay someone to read my book and then write a synopsis. I can do it. It's just not as much fun as it was to write the book.
@Sourdad Be sure to emphasize the parts of your book that will "sell" it to an agent. I understand about literary drudgery. Best of luck with all of it.
