I Am Writing a Novel

A friend of mine at a University in the South of the U.S. told me that I shouldn't self-publish my novel. He said it was good enough for a publisher. Unfortunately the task of finding a publisher is up to me. It's going to be a long haul no matter what choice I make.

If you think of most authors... they have all been rejected, often many times by many publishers.. so I guess the ones that succeed are those who don't give up easily

That’s awesome, though. Can that friend suggest any publishers to approach ? If you do decide to self publish some people have had good results with Amazon, as awful as that sounds. I bought a couple of novels from EP friends.

@bijouxbroussard I looked into Amazon, and it looks pretty straight forward, but he thinks I have a good shot at getting a traditional publisher. The problem is that there are a lot of them, and they won't consider a manuscript that has multiple submissions. The other difficulty is that it's a lesbian romance novel at heart.
