I Am Writing a Novel
I really like Nisus word processor for the Mac. I really don't want to pay for a new program every year, so I'm staying away from Microsoft. LibreOffice is pretty good, but I'm not sure I like it.

I don't think it's necessary to get a new Microsoft Office every year? You can still use the older ones if you like. My old school used 2008 or something throughout the years until 2012 or 2013 in computer classes.

A friend of mine from way back when is going to read my novel. If he thinks it's good enough to publish, I won't have to publish it on Amazon. He's in academia with connections, so we'll have to see.

Today I passed 48,000 words. I'm more than half-way done with my novel. I intend to keep it under 90,000 words.
