Have you ever looked back and blamed others

for the road you're on in life....

When perhaps that road itself is your own asphalt?

Took me a while to see it that way, but for years it felt like others did pave the asphalt as I sat powerless in the driver鈥檚 seat. That section of the drive served its purpose though. Now I know that I鈥檓 responsible for not only the road I鈥檓 on, but for the direction it takes. Sure, there鈥檚 detours that have to be taken along the way and obstacles like twister-riding cows that can make moving forward in the direction I want a little tricky, but those moments are seen for what they are and I manage to pause and adjust my route accordingly. When momentarily looking back at the obstacles I clear, I always remember if someone outside of myself caused them...but I focus more on how I overcame them even if I got turned around and that鈥檚 changed the whole appreciation of the journey itself.

@PerfectionOfTheHeart Wow!! Well said... haha. 馃檪. Our inability to control the actions of others, but more so focus on swervin' em. Awesome. Thank you for that. I'll read this plenty before it's all said and done. 鉂わ笍馃鉂わ笍
