I Am Going To Boarding School

My dad has bought me a trunk to put all my stuff into. It is purple, so I already love it 😌 He says it is big enough for me to sleep in if I do not like my bed. That is not a very funny joke 🐻

I have bought all the items on the uniform list. I do not know why I have to have 15 sets of underwear - that makes no sense 😕 Next week, when I am back home, I will have to sew name labels into all of my clothes, even the socks 😟

I need to buy two new duvet covers, because the ones I own are for double beds.

And why do you need to put your name on things will they be doing your washing> Oh what about your gf will she be going to boarding school to? Oh make sure you get a lock for your trunk yes it comes with a lock but those things are so easy to open it's best to get a paddle lock now they have ones where you can set your own code.

@updown2020 Thank you, I think this one has a combination lock on it. We have to label everything because we do not do our own laundry and things are easily lost or mixed up. Sophie is starting an apprenticeship, but I hope I will be able to see her at weekends.

@TammieBear Really and your gf is starting to work already or maybe I read that wrong. Oh have your dad or if you can drill a small hole in the trunk that way you can put your phone or laptop or tablet in the trunk and lock it and still charge it without anyone stealing it.

@updown2020 That is a good idea. An apprenticeship is where you learn a trade while earning. Sophie is going to work for a clothing company and learn how to design children's clothing. One day a week she will go to college.

@TammieBear Yes I know what an apprenticeship is but I thought only adults like from 18 up but I guess not.

@TammieBear Well even those combination lock you just push the latch closed and it locked right well those a not safe they can be opened easily if there is a place to put a paddle lock I suggest you do that. or post a pic of the trunk and I will check it out for you.

@updown2020 I have to do coaching on a Saturday as part of my scholarship, so it is difficult to get away for the whole weekend. It is possible that Sophie can stay the weekend in my room, but I will have to ask the permission of my room mate first.

@TammieBear Well would you not have to ask permission from some staff member after all you do not want to have Sophie in your room and some staff questing what she is doing there and maybe throw her out. I would investigate first what the rules are with friends staying over.And what your roommate would think about if she saw you and your gf sleeping together or plan it when your roommate goes home for the weekend.

@updown2020 We're allowed to have guests at the weekend, but obviously we've got to respect our room mates. So I need to get to know mine better first 😕
