i've always been a fairly strategic person and at some point I had to face the fact that to me if you peeled back all the layers of pretentious bullshit that my essence was that the meaning to my life was always going to be love, relationships and my relationship with the opposite sex and realizing like I have that many of the companies in existence want employees who are willing to give EVERYTHING to the company and have no respect for work life balance like even bring it up and they'll consider you half assed.
Apple's design team, less so the ones in the stores and more theo nes making the products and the work there was so demanding it basically unofficially and unveriably ended marriages because the men who worked for the company worked long hours and were almost never around to spend time with their wives or children.
