I Believe Gentlemen Still Exist

But then I also believe in mermaids and pixie dust. 🙄

You don't tug on superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger
And you don't mess around with...
Sara!! 😡

Got it? Good.
Public service announcement over.

Yes. I went out again last night. Why? Idk. And not dancing. Just went to a karaoke place. It actually started out really fun. Then the jerks showed up.

And I know that at least half the problem is me. My tolerance for assholery is so low. Why is that? Ugh, idk. 🤦

It's not a bad thing that your tolerance for assholery is low.

I may have to write a story because I remember something striking my bf said on this topic some years ago that I really liked, and changed a little bit of how I viewed something.

Anyway... The lack of patience, apathy, or mirth over some men being idiots does seem to make it difficult for you to enjoy yourself anywhere assholes/idiots bother you though. Perhaps there's a way to distract yourself from remaining frustrated or something? Or maybe you can bring a friend along when you go out. I used to have a friend who would drag me out to bars to help her because her tolerance was really low for certain kinds of things from guys, and then guys would see her as really bitchy when she wasn't happy, etc.

America really needs to take a leaf from China when it comes to karaoke and have karaoke places where it's all private rooms you can lock. you rent a room for friends and yourself for a couple hours, and you bring your own drinks and snacks and dance and sing, etc.

@Scribbles I actually love that private karaoke room idea. I'd so do that.

As for last night, I actually was with friends. It was warm so I took off the light sweater I had on and that left me in a racer-back tank and jeans. Somehow he noticed my shoulders and arms and wanted to know my workout routine.

I was ignoring him at first, but then he actually sang me a song. I will admit that was pretty cool (and he was good) and got him some points. My friends invited him to sit with us and that's when I noticed how drunk he was.

Anyway, he got grabby and wanted me to go take a walk with him. When I declined a few times he got upset and things spiraled downward from there. 🤷
