I Believe Gentlemen Still Exist

But then I also believe in mermaids and pixie dust. 🙄

You don't tug on superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger
And you don't mess around with...
Sara!! 😡

Got it? Good.
Public service announcement over.

Yes. I went out again last night. Why? Idk. And not dancing. Just went to a karaoke place. It actually started out really fun. Then the jerks showed up.

And I know that at least half the problem is me. My tolerance for assholery is so low. Why is that? Ugh, idk. 🤦

Mermaids and Pixie dust are real though 🥺
sarabee1995 · 31-35, F
@PlumBerries Yes they are!!!

But like gentlemen, they are rare and, at times, fleeting.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@sarabee1995 true but you can say that about women also.. the good ones are always hard to find :)

@PlumBerries So very true! This post is motivated by one particular jerk in one particular karaoke bar in Maryland last night.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@sarabee1995 uggh when I picture Karaoke bars, there is always a sleazy douchehat there. If he was a jerk to you, screw him
sarabee1995 · 31-35, F
@PlumBerries Hahaha "douchehat"!! Lol, a new word for me.

Yeah, he started out trying to be cool. He tried to serenade me with a song, but was clearly drunk. And then somehow thought I owed him something because he sang me a song. 🙄
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@sarabee1995 was it a good song though?
lol just kidding.. yeah he sounds like the definition for a douchehat.
sarabee1995 · 31-35, F
@PlumBerries Actually, yeah, it was a great song and he did a great job with it too!

And my friends invited him to sit with us, which was fine. I couldn't believe how well he sang given how drunk he sounded when he started talking. 🙄

But the problem started next. Somehow in his mind, the fact that he sang to me and sat for five minutes with us meant I should go off with him. I told him I was quite comfortable sitting here with my friends and he was welcome to stay or go. That seemed to get him mad and he actually tried to grab me. Big mistake.
