I Was Slippered By My Form Teacher

At school most teachers were women. However, we did have a very few men who were a novelty and we used to try it on with them. I can remember being quite cheeky to one of these gentlemen and he told me crossly to see him after the lesson.
I expected to be put into detention or something but instead he wrote a note for my form teacher: "Jennifer has been very cheeky to me today. Can you please deal with her."
Of course, I pleaded with him not to give me the note but he was quite unrepentant and told me I must take the consequences. Of course, when I delivered the note what followed was a lecture on manners followed by bending over a desk for six resounding whacks on my bum which kept away the cold for the rest of the day.
I had also to apologise to the teacher who accepted my mumbled apology graciously. I did watch myself after that as he obviously had an understanding with our form teacher and several girls got notes from him during the year!

In my dad's school "slipper" actually meant a gym shoe. It stung he says

In schools, "the slipper" usually meant a plimsoll/gym shoe. From many personal experiences, I can confirm it stung.

The men teachers gave us detentions or lines but not CP.
At least he didn't do it. I don't think that would have been right. Better a lady do it.

@Aspies19: I was just pointing out it's a sexist opinion. Some people think that only discrimination against women is sexist but it works both ways.
I respect your opinion.

@Aspies19: Likewise. I'd still like to know why you thought it wouldn't be right for a male teacher to punish girls and whether you think it would be OK for a female teacher to punish boys. I've heard similar opinions expressed before but nobody has ever being able to explain why. I'm curious why some people hold that opinion and their reasons for doing so.

Not usually.

@jennypenny: Would your parents have known if you'd been smacked at school ? I think at my school if you were sent for the cane a note was sent home. I don't know if that applied to all canings or just things like smoking or drinking where the offence might have actually been illegal. I was only ever punished in class so I'm not sure.

They sometimes knew but generally if I'd had the slipper or cane I just got a telling off as they felt I'd been punished for what I did. @SoreBum:

We got slippered by the teacher whose class we misbehaved in or whichever teacher caught us misbehaving. We were never sent to another teacher for a slippering, only to the head. for a caning.
