I Was Slippered By My Form Teacher

As I have said during my first year in secondary school my form teacher was a very nice young lady but she was unfailngly strict. As my friend and I found out when we were caught talking in assembly and made to stand up by the headmistress. We were both very red in the face and I thought we would get the cane but she referred the matter to our form teacher as we were only in the first year. Miss was not pleased and gave us a good lecture and told us she would deal with this during the gym lesson later that day. That was not a pleasant prospect as she was a real dab hand with the slipper. The gym lesson went by and we thought she'd forgotten but sadly for us at the end she called this to her, gave us a lecture as to how we had let the class down, and then we both went over her knee for a good dose of the slipper on our gym knickers. We both cried and ended up both hopping around and holding burning bottoms by the time she finished, much to the amusement of the other girls. I think the sight of two very red bottoms in the changing rooms acted as a warnng to other girls as no-one else talked during assembly after that!

I come from the same era and in secondary school it was the slipper in class for both boys and girl. Over the front desk, facing the class, usually four pretty hard whacks. If the matter was more serious it was a punishment slip which meant attending the senior master/mistress for the cane.

@DaveRoberts It was similar in my school. Anyone, boys and girls, caught misbehaving in class would be called out to the front for "the slipper" - actually a plimsoll. We usually just had to bend over, hand on knees or touching toes, for two or three fairly firm whacks. Sometimes we had to bend over a desk, mostly for harder slipperings of four or six hard whacks.

More serious matters meant a trip to the year head. for the cane.
How old are you in first year? Sorry just not familiar with that term and was curious about how old you were at the time.
