It was a chance meeting, I saw her just in passing as I was about to leave. I was smitten at first glance. After introduction we spoke for hours on the phone and in messages. Then came that first date..
I picked her up at her house and we headed off to a walking trail near where I lived. I like it there, it is peaceful, has great views and benches where we sat and talked. I loved her voice and her laugh, as I do now, both confirming that she was the woman of my dreams.
We went back to my house to shower and dress for dinner out. She used the master, and I the downstairs shower. My breath was taken as she emerged from my bedroom, she was beautiful beyond belief. I couldn't resist one light kiss before we headed off to one of my favourite restaurants, off the beaten path, owned by a flaming gay man who immediately complimented her beauty and dress, deservedly so. He insisted on choosing our wine, he has a knack. The food was amazing, the atmosphere entertaining. The company could not have been better.
After dinner I drove her home, I was on cloud nine. I walked her to her door, and after a lingering kiss and saying goodnight, waited for her to get inside before leaving.
I was in love even then. I could only hope that she would feel the same way. She does. She is even more beautiful now in every way and I am more in love with her every day.
