can't go wrong with a classic comfy LAZYBOY
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@510072,Elizabeth28] Thank you.
Eames Lounge Chair - ( I dont have one )
[@10109,SweetMae] I mean 6
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@760047,MarmeeMarch] That is the best way to collect fine furniture.
[@10109,SweetMae] It looks nice and is an artsy piece - but the comfort is unreal - go to a showroom that has them and sit in one with the footrest - and see what I mean.
ImRileyTheDog · 18-21, F
I heard lazy boys are good
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@1452,ImRileyTheDog] Thank you!
Spokeskitties75 · 41-45, M
I usually go to La-Z-Boy and test drive, then order what I want. It’s not cheap, but how often do you buy recliners? 🤷‍♂️
Elizabeth28 · 26-30, TVIP
[@10109,SweetMae] best of luck and make sure to order one Never take the floor demo (you never know what kind of person or dust might be on it dont bring it home ya know ...) and beside if your gona spend the cas hget a new one not a demo thats been rough and abuse by other client ask questio nfabirc cleaning care ect
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
[@510072,Elizabeth28] yes there is probably no other piece of furniture except maybe your bed that needs to be so carefully considered for comfort before buying.
Elizabeth28 · 26-30, TVIP
[@16806,cherokeepatti] for sure and also floor demo some time are sat in jump in ect you know ialways make sure to get one NEW in Box never touch beforei buy i did that whit my clothes dryer 5 years ago still going strong ( got it from warehosue not floor)
Virgo79 · 56-60, M
Catnapper, I like it.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@349935,Virgo79] That is the brand?
Virgo79 · 56-60, M
[@10109,SweetMae] yea and they aren't very expensive.
It may be katnapper im not sure of the spelling.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Catnapper by Jackson Furniture, I love mine! Best I’ve ever had.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@1062793,BackyardShaman] Thank you! I will goggle that too.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Mine has massage and heat, built solid and comfortable, long lasting. I know Lazy Boy is popular, but I find them overpriced for what you get and the Catnapper to be way better, my opinion.[@10109,SweetMae]
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@1062793,BackyardShaman] I could use the massage and heat feature too.
JustcallmeNameless · 31-35, FVIP
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@585989,JustcallmeNameless] They have a nice variety.
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
I have this Natuzzi and I love it

Natuzzi Editions Brama Recliner Chair
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@11768,GJOFJ3] It does look comfy. Thank you.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
[@11768,GJOFJ3] I likewise like Natuzzi. We don't have their recliner but a few other of their products. My impression is good quality for the $$.
checkoutanytime · 41-45, M
I retire with mine nightly. So, I see, how you'd want to replace it.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@1201531,checkoutanytime] I probably would too.
I bought lazboy recliners because I was under the impression it was still a quality brand. After less than two years the mechanism failed. No problem right? It has a lifetime warranty. Fun fact: the warranty doesn't cover pickup, delivery, or labor. It cost me over $200 to use my lifetime warranty. I hate to say it, but the cheaper stuffs I got from ashley is holding up much better.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@371164,SooperSarah] That is good to know. Thank you.
I have a faux zebraskin ottoman
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@1077581,paperlace] That sounds pretty. Thank you. I do have an ottoman but that isn't working for me.
Mindful · 51-55, F
Do you have someone to share it with or just one for yourself? I bought double sized Italian recliners so that I could share it with my daughter or my partner. I have two, so that I can sit with them or alone. I’ve really enjoyed it.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@8567,Mindful] I would like a double one. Then I can get comfy sitting sideways.
Stereoguy · 56-60, M
We tried Haverty's, but they were junk! So now we have Lazy Boy. In the house we have power recliners and in the RV a manual one. I highly recommend them. They are made in Tennessee and if anything goes wrong replacement parts are readily available.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@78387,Stereoguy] Thank you. That is good to know.
jackj · 56-60, M
Don’t get one. You’re too young. That’s an old lady chair. Unsightly too.
jackj · 56-60, M
A comfy sofa with NO recliners built in. [@10109,SweetMae]
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@1158,jackj] That would be better.
jackj · 56-60, M
Whew. You’ll thank me. Trust me. [@10109,SweetMae]
jackj · 56-60, M
You surely shouldn’t taint the beauty of your home with one of those

I don’t have a recliner, but my couch & loveseat are LA-Z-Boy....and I’d go there if I wanted a recliner.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@475592,DragonFruit] Thank you for your suggestion. ☺️
[@10109,SweetMae] my sister and brother in law sold all thier lounging furniture, and bought two, and they swear by them and their comfort value .
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@912138,OogieBoogie] My nice furniture was fine until recently.
I have a lumpy old couch.

And no...I don't recommend it😂
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@912138,OogieBoogie] Oooh ...that could be surprising
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
[@912138,OogieBoogie] The shocker?
[@488176,LunarOrbit] 😂yeah.

Never sit down there with a hot cup of coffee ...
Poked and sauteed all at once 😫
Heartlander · 80-89, M

I think Stickley may be your style, like one of these ...

But they cost a small fortune. Try one and then shop for the same comfort in a look-alike.

We have a couple of 20+ year old Natuzzi (brand) comfy chairs and we love them. Still as comfortable as when we bought them.

I'm more of a swayer, so a rocking recliner is my preference, the ones with a handle so you can lock in whatever position.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@66493,Heartlander] I like that style. Thank you.

A reclining lift chair? a
A lift chair can help with the transition between sitting and standing, and one that reclines is also nice.

Plus you never know when you might have friends visiting that might need it.

Just a thought.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@800884,Viper] Thanks! The grandkids can eject me across the room!! Wooo Hoo!

I have a 1954 lazyboy recliner. It’s marked on the underside stating as much. I recommend a newer model. Lol. Good luck
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@1780,gdon39] Thank you! That sounds like a real classic.
jackj · 56-60, M
