I Have One Goal In Life

I have a goal that I want to make come true very fast. Only I know about this goal because I don't know how to tell others what my goal is in life, even though my goal is more like a dream..I want it to become reality. My parents are very supportive but I cannot tell them I want to be a dancer because I'm not sure how they would react. Please give me advice how to tell my family and friends on my goal/career in life! I appreciate it thank you!

I don't know your family and friends, but I do know if you want to be a dancer, you have to want it more than anything, be prepared to live on a shoestring, and appreciate that like any profession that depends on a lithe, youthful body, a career as a dancer is self-limiting. Tell them you want it, and ask for their moral support but be ready to support yourself.

@Mamapolo2016 Thank you! I hope they support my dream!
Often family is afraid of dreams because they fear they will end badly. You have to have the fire in your belly, talent, and ferocity.@Gabii00

Hopefully I have that fire in me!!
I assume you have been dancing for years - how is it your family doesn't know what you want?@Gabii00

I've been dancing since I was little but I do it at home through video's I've seen online, because I'm kind of overweight-_- But I don't really tell my family what I do in my spare time or what I like to do to. My family know I love to dance and have complemented many times but I don't think they know how serious I am about it and I doubt if they know I want to do it for my career.
One doesn't see many overweight dancers. That may be something you have to remedy - if you really want to dance professionally.

I've never been involved in it, but I gather most employers are merciless about dancers' weight and fitness.@Gabii00

I know that's why I decided to lose weight to work towards my goal..
That kind of determination will help win them over. You need to be healthy to dance, so be sure you are getting all the right nutrition. No stupid crash diets. More and more dancing should help as well.@Gabii00

Thanks! Well noted.. No crash diets!
It won't help if you're slim and break a bone on a dance step. A dancer's body is their bread and butter.@Gabii00
