I Am 18

I recently turned 18 and it's a really weird feeling. I am now an adult. I could move to, I don't know, Greece, if I wanted to and I couldn't be stopped from doing so. I noticed my age has changed on my profile to 18-21. It looks weird. When I first joined EP, it was 13-15. Then is was 16-17. Now it is 18-21. I belong to an entirely different group of people now - the adults. I'm the first one of my friends to turn 18 so I feel like the old one. I got a letter from my work telling me about the pension scheme. I'm going to be getting a credit card. I'm responsible for all my savings account now. I have actual responsibilities. I'm learning how to manage my money. I'm getting offers from universities. I'll be moving out next September to go to university.

I feel like I'm growing up all too soon. On Monday I was still technically a child and I could rely on other people to make sure I was okay. Then on Tuesday it is all down to me. I know I still have the support of family etc., but in the real world I am on my own. It's a scary thought.
