I Think Poetically

With your hand in mine,

You’re so soft and gentle there.

I feel everything thru my fingers...

Promises and dreams and hopes.

I extend my awareness into you

Like somehow I feel you can sense me

As your hands warm glow

Radiates into my rough dryness.

A simple thing,

This link of two...

But it makes me more complete

Than any other gesture.

Also the world seems brighter

My burdens seem lighter

My companion, my confidante

I am whole with you.
