I thought joggers had to do with the cut/shape, and sweatpants had to do with the material. I could be wrong.

Yeah, exactly. You can also get joggers made out of that material, but they’re more tapered to the leg, so I think they’d be jogger sweatpants. I’ve also seen other materials in that same jogger style called joggers. A lot of them are more soft stretchy materials, but not all. @smileylovesgaming

Joggers tend to be more fitting and flattering than sweatpants.
