Why do some people wear socks when wearing flip flops or sandals?

No sense of style or too lazy to buy a decent shoe.

I love wearing flip flops at home all year long...no socks in winter!!😉🤭

I asked one time about that, the person couldn't give me a straight answer. And I thought I was gay, lol 😁

Socks and sandals is a strange habit. Here in the uk it happens a lot. I don’t see women doing it ,only men.
Then again I think it’s silly in summer for men to wear trainers with shorts . Sadly these always seem to be worn with white socks and looks dreadful, many young men seem to do this
Surely sandals without socks are much comfier when it’s hot.
I’ve got proper hiking sandals I wear when out all summer.

I don't recall seeing socks with flip flops, that really would be odd. I have seen socks with sandals equally strange, I wouldn't do it.

it used to be frowned upon and though weird or strange, but some one started doing in and called it cool or fashionable. Like you I still say what the "F" with socks and sandals or flip flops!

Socks and sandals is a peculiar habit that seems to be a male only thing.

The worst combination. Flip flops and sandals are designed for summer so the feet need to be free without socks

If you don't like showing your feet off then go with deck or canvas shoes.....
