I Love to Think
There will come a point when humanities collective library of knowledge won't hold the answers you seek. When you reach the point where your questions have never been answered before, it's important to have trained your mind to think while still in the safety net of being able to test your ideas.
The conclusions others have come to ba<x>sed on logic, should be conclusions you can reach on your own. If all you do is memorize, how will you know how to think about a new problem? But if instead you first contemplate the mechanics behind things which are already understood, you can train your mind to think critically at every point by comparing if your explanation is comparable to the accepted model. Then once your mind has developed, you'll be ready to tackle the mystery of reality that stands so elegantly in front of us all. Or you'll at least as ready as you can be.
