I Love My Job Because I Love What I Do

Being a direct support professional is not an easy job and it is definitely not for everyone. If someone told me the impact I would have on these individuals or the impact they have made on me when I first started would be so strong and so real I would have laughed. But I can honestly say I love my job and I love my individuals and I wouldn't change a thing. My bond is so true and so real with these people and I love that I am working and impacting people's lives in such a positive and truly amazing way. My job has value, meaning, and is powerful. It feels good to do what I do
