I Love the Mountains

This evening I drove west towards the mountains and into the setting sun. Alone in the car I spend towards the Cascade range and was treated to a beautiful sight.

Before me the clouds were stacked up against the mountains like waves breaking against the mighty peaks. The clouds spilled through the lower passes like water overflowing a dam

A couple of the tallest peaks rose above the waves of heavy clouds. They were islands in the celestial ocean.

The beauty of the scene filled my soul and I so desired to share it with you that I found my hand extended to you. Then I realized that I was alone in the car and could only share this sight through my words.

As I crested the pass I looked up at the clouds and it seemed to be as if I peered up from the bottom of the sea. The white clouds appeared as breakers churning the sky with the sun adding illumination in the evening.

Such a spectacular sight I saw this day and the only thing that would have been better is if you had been by my side.
