I set the smoke alarm off when I tried to cook scrambled eggs 😶

Nothing wrong .. But you can start doing slowly!

I live with my GF who does not know cooking either.. Her parents always wanted her future husband to cook for her and they do not encourage her to learn either

My dad never let me use the stove either but he was also like "I can't be the one to cook forever. You will be cooking for your husband one day and I won't be able to help you." So then I try to cook and he makes me stop. I don't get it. 😂

@BlackBloodDemon They are not backwards but her mom believes too much in female dominated household where man has to do all chores.. Loving my GF has ended me in that exact situation lol

Oh ok.. dad's always love their daughter too much and make sure maximum love is given to them - he would also not expect much from you in return either

My bf told me if we move in together, he is doing all the cooking because he doesn't trust me on the stove, lol. I tried making him lunch once (I was making gyros), and when it was time to cook the chicken, he told me he'll take care of it.. So I just prepared the other food. The only thing that really annoyed me was I made homemade tzatziki, and he didn't want any on his gyro (that's when I learned he has a texture problem even though the tzatziki has no texture). The tzatziki is the best part! 😤
