Better that than too fat.
TonyPajamas · 22-25
Why does it have to be either extreme? @Reject
Reject · 26-30, M
@TonyPajamas It shouldn't be either extreme, but if one had to be chosen, skinny it is.
TonyPajamas · 22-25
@Reject I would rather date a chubby guy than this twig
Reject · 26-30, M
@TonyPajamas I think anyone would rather take something in the middle. That's normal.
VioletRayne · 31-35, F
@Reject [c=#4C0073]and this is why there are people with anorexia n cutting themselves 🙄[/c]
TonyPajamas · 22-25
@VioletRayne people having preferences?
VioletRayne · 31-35, F
@TonyPajamas [c=#4C0073]its not the preferences it’s how people gang up on one kind of person[/c]
Reject · 26-30, M
@VioletRayne There's anorexic people, and there's obese people. Both have problems and need help. Anorexia isn't glorified even if it's considered better than obesity.
TonyPajamas · 22-25
@VioletRayne people can’t give you a mental illness. No one should have to walk on egg shells just because they might hurt someone’s feelings.
VioletRayne · 31-35, F
@Reject [c=#4C0073]they just concluded that all that people assume about obesity is wrong. There are perfectly healthy obese people. There are also anorexic and bulemic obese people. How about people stop pretending to be dieticians when they don’t know anything.[/c]

@VioletRayne The very definition of obesity is excess fat to the point of being unhealthy. It doesn't make sense to say there's such a thing as an obese person who's perfectly healthy. That's not how you use that word. There are obese people who are anorexic, sure, but I meant the ones who are malnourished and underweight as a result of that mental illness. Not the big ones. I didn't think that needed to be explained, but either way, it's bad.
VioletRayne · 31-35, F
@Reject [c=#4C0073]Your in direct disagreement with medical research. The just released a study that says the exact opposite. Being big doesn’t mean unhealthy. My mom just went through this. They did a full physical on her and concluded her perfectly healthy. Yet, she’s over 300lbs. She can run she can walk miles. There nothing even remotely wrong with her heart and there’s nothing wrong with her thyroid. She eats prettt healthy and yet she’s big. There are tons of people out there like that.[/c]
Reject · 26-30, M
@VioletRayne There's a difference between big and obese. I'm not saying big is bad. There's plenty of women who would be considered overweight but are still perfectly healthy. That's not the same as obese.
VioletRayne · 31-35, F
@Reject [c=#4C0073]then you need to define terms because 300lbs in an average female is considered obese. I’m 5’5” If I was 300lbs I’d be considered obese. My aunt who’s 5’ 9” wouldn’t be. Are you trying to differentiate between obese and morbidly obese?[/c]
Reject · 26-30, M
@VioletRayne Obese is so much more than someone's weight. It's supposed to be calculated by body type. Obesity can be true to someone as low as 150 pounds if they have a certain body type that can't handle extra weight. Then someone else can be over 300 pounds and not be obese at all. It really depends on the person and the science is far from perfect. Morbidly obese is a simple redundancy.
VioletRayne · 31-35, F
@Reject [c=#4C0073]Thats the point I’m making people want to pick n goose and make assumptions about things that are not exact and are specifically on a case by case basis. [/c]
Reject · 26-30, M
@VioletRayne That's true. My original point was that it's better to be too skinny rather than too fat. I feel this way because it's much easier to get to a healthy weight for your body when your problem is being scrawny. I think everyone can agree that in general, it's harder to lose weight than it is to gain it.
