I Don't Think The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Side

I used to think that if I had different parents, different siblings, different childhood, etc that I would have been better, more confident, farther along, have better personality etc. Truth is, we don't know any of this. There is no way to know how life would have been being born to different parents with different siblings, growing up well off, going away to college and finishing much sooner than 26. Who knows if I could have been abused, neglected, put in danger, accumulated thousands in debt, and experienced all kinds of hardships. Life would have been different but not better or worse. I can understand this now.
It's true. There are kids that come from a poor background or the ghetto and do just fine in life. And then there's kids that come from affluent backgrounds and become drug addicts and worse. One just never knows.
