Feels like such a disrespectful slap in the face.

Just for context I'm a disabled guy, about 6'1 with a large frame, and I weigh about 260. I know I could lose a few pounds but goddamn couldnt everybody after covid lockdowns? She's not exactly jillian Michaels over there, and she isn't stuck in a damn wheelchair all day like i am. I feel like getting her a pack of slimfast for mothers day just to see how she likes passive aggressive insults. I love my mom but she never learned how to stay out of my business and treat me with any respect. Im so tired of her and wish i lived further than 10 minutes away.

You're justified, but she's your mom, and she's still in the habit of trying to insure your well-being. Go ahead and get her that slimfast. It might help her to realize that your birthday is off limits to control issues.

Yeah, that is very rude.

Not the best gift is it?
Are you able to tell her thanks but no thanks?

@SW-User I didnt think to at the time. Honestly its just a birthday so I'm not super invested. All I said was "ok thanks." Its like, yeah its a dick move on her part but is it really worth me calling her up and starting a whole conversation about it? She'd find some way to get offended that I'm offended by the offensive thing she said, like the time she said the civil war wasn't about slavery, and when I corrected her with facts on my side, this woman found a way to flip it back on me like I'm the one being an ass. Tell me how that works lol

Anyway yeah it's not worth it. At the end of the day its free food.
