I Hate My Sister

I really want to know how to get my sisters boyfriend out of the house I live in. Some history on my life, my sister has been physically, verbally, and emotionally abused me from my childhood to my teen. I remember having distinct memory of her being physically abusive to me, and when I told my mom I guess she never really believed it. And family is just "so important" to her, but she forgets she the abuse I went through.

She over 21 now and I am barely 19, sadly she has not left and she brought her boyfriend too. I want to know how to get her boyfriend and possibly her out of the house. I was thinking calling the police so they can escort him out, he dosent have his name on our contract and my mom said he had paid one minor bill throughout all the months hes been wasting him time here.

He does not even have a job until recently, but he does not go anywhere he sits and waits for my sister to get home. And in the meantime does nothing besides play video games (what a keeper). He has a home but he chooses to live here and my mom lives with her boyfriend so she does not live here. I can tell you more about the situation, I just want to know how to get him out/ press charges or my sister out even. Maybe I can report some abuse charges against her and my cousin, is this a dead cause?

Sorry to hear you have to deal with this. No one here can really help you because so much is left out, and laws vary by state. I suggest you see an attorney for a free 30 minute consulatation. Even if he/she does not take your case or you don't have the money for the fee, you will learn things that may help you. Good luck.

@veoh112 In almost all matters, you should speak with an attorney before you speak to the police. An att can let you know of rights you have that you may not be aware of, and would tell you when you don't have a case. For instance, a statute of limitation may have passed (a time limit to file an action). The police, as helpful and dedicated as they are, have the pressures of having to meet quotas (even though most deny it), and may not be interested in what looks solely like a domestic or civil matter, or they may not want to fill out more paperwork on that shift. If a criminal law has not been broken, or you have no evidence, or they did not witness it, they will tell you to call them when something bad happens. So strengthen your knowledge and position and talk to att first. Then you will know what to do.
