Am I the only one?

Am I the only one that finds it harder or even impossible sometimes to create when I am at low points in my mind or really feeling things or...

Basically it's harder to create, write, draw, the more I NEED an outlet or experience emotions to express I suppose. It seems like it's the opposite case for artists, but maybe they really have to push themselves. I don't know, don't get me wrong, I still do create in such states, often not, but I still do. Or rather it takes a lot to get myself there.

Edit: Even after I start or am in the middle of creating, not just getting started.

I’ve heard that you just “have to start” with any medium, and work as you feel. You don’t have to have a vision, just blend the emotion, with whatever tool you have

You are not the only one at all.

Consider at times, you may be holding back what you really want to create out of fear

Many parts of life are “bland” dull, ordinary. Perhaps there are times when art should look imperfect as well

@Mindful I added an edit, I didn't just mean starting, but in general.

@YukiSohma you are not the only one at all. That is life’s most common struggle.. to do, or not to do? And then do what? Why and how does it benefit me. Do it how? Can I do it? Will I do it? (Everyone else is just a lamb. Baaaa)And there’s a famous saying that tries to teach us …we have to master our minds and bodies, not let our minds and body master us.
