@SW-User Well, good storytelling can sometimes take time. If the content keeps my interest, I’m fine with that. However, many times with people and authors I’m thinking, “Get to the point!”

@ChampagneOnIce Agreed. It's never a good thing when a writer is going on and on and suddenly you realize a few paragraphs later you have no idea what you read because you're thinking of your to-do list for the weekend or something like that.
@SW-User Exactly! I remember trying to read Anne Rice a couple of times, but it takes her 10 pages to say something that could be said in a paragraph. I can’t stay engaged when the story just rambles on and on.
