yes yes,crucial.look into what species will do well in your area and get to it,the more the merrier.We put in alot of redwoods this year-this area was mostly clearcut 150 years ago to rebuild sanfransisco,but the second growth forests are quite large.Hard to imagine what the ancient redwood groves were like-forest canopy 300+ft.high.
Also put in alot of willow sprigs on the riverbank last year to check erosion control,that felt good.

and I didn't just get to this attitude overnight,on a whim.most of us are taught in one way or another to be selfish and live in fear of scarsity or otherness-challenge your preconceptions and let your little intuitive voice be your guide.I'm amazed at how much I can accomplish by giving unconditionally-and yes,plenty of room for improvement...

You are right. Planting trees is good idea to fix CO2 from the air. I have been thinking about what else can reduce CO2, but I was not able to reach the conclusion except trees. Any other plants such as grasses can fix CO2 in a short period, but it is decomposed by microorganisms or so, and when it happens, CO2 is dischargd. Trees can be stocks of CO2 :-)

Sounds like you have the right attitude. It's not the easiest thing, using the tools inside the box to try to influence the world outside the box. Best of luck to you.
