@GkB01 No kit. I don't mind doing PE in bare feet, but I do mind being made to do it in my underwear 😠

@QuietSophie I agree, I regularly had no plimsolls but always had the rest of my kit.

@GkB01 I often forget everything and had to do PE in my vest, pants and bare feet 😞

@QuietSophie Were there others doing that or just you?

@QuietSophie Doesn't only apply to girls in a hurry, us boys too! But then I believe that the culture of society dictates that boys shouldn't care less about being made to parade in a cold gym in just our underpants and bare feet.

@Ross19 Don't recall having to do PE in underpants in older years, but certainly just shorts with no shirt on occasion, with of course bare feet.

@GkB01 I'm mentioning our younger years... later on I carried my kit in my reading bag so I wouldn't forget!

@Ross19 I always tried to remember my kit, bar forgetting on purpose my plimsolls of course so as to do inside PE in my bare feet.

@GkB01 It happened to other people, of course, but sometimes I was the only one in underwear in a particular lesson and it was very embarrassing 😥

@QuietSophie I'd have tried everything to remember my kit the first time after it happened to me🙄

@Ross19 The school would phone my mum to see if she could bring it in. But she worked and was often too busy 😟 So then I had no option but to strip down to my vest and pants in the school hall.

@QuietSophie Did your mum try to get you to remember to bring it yourself?

@GkB01 She tried, but the more she nagged the more I forgot 🙄

@QuietSophie Were you ever told off for forgetting? That would have sorted me🙄

@GkB01 No, having to run around in my underwear was punishment enough 😟

@QuietSophie Having to do something like that once, would have spurred me on to remember the next time.

@QuietSophie The school phoning mum thing reminded me of the time I forgot my kit in middle school and I was super scared about the prospect of doing PE in my underpants I ran to a nearby telephone box and called home. There was no answer!!! I inevitably did pe that day in my underpants and barefoot.

@Ross19 My mum used to leave for work by 9.30am, so if I didn't call her by then I was basically stuffed. I remember realising in the morning that I had no kit for PE in the afternoon, and suffering all through the day with the terrible realisation that I was going to have to participate in my knickers 😥

@GkB01 But I was always in a rush, with more interesting stuff to do . . . 😔

@GkB01 Bare feet for PE are fine, pants and vest just a bit too chilly 😬
