Then understanding that it was never a separation of church and state it was that the state was not to determine the religion of the people

@dale74 Atheist groups put a spin on it. In time a good constitutional lawyer will take care of this matter.
KeanuChrist · 26-30, M
@Agent86 If anyone is spinning it it's you guys. Separation of Church and State does mean that the government can't be associated with a certain religion, now that doesn't mean a politician can't go to church, but it does mean the government can't put up the ten commandments or the five pillars of islam on government property like court houses and shit.
Agent86 · 51-55, M
@KeanuChrist Time will tell as new cases come before the United States Supreme Court constantly.

Churches should still be taxed though, just like any other business. If churches were taxed, you could give the entire US universal healthcare and still have about $30 billion leftover to sort out the education issue.

@Shaun Sean you are stupid if you believe that first of all before they were all the Socialist programs that supported people people went to their church and they were held accountable for their actions. If they wanted the church whatever denomination it was to help them out with their rent and utilities the church would give them some kind of job to do this creates responsibility which many of this generation are lacking. Even in your statement you're wanting a free hand out paid for by someone else all you're doing when you text Church's is you are also taxing and individual a church does not just invent money like our government does a church is money that is donated by the people who are already paying taxes.
Shaun · 26-30, M
I never said I was for or against universal healthcare, I just mentioned it as a statement of how much churches actually make.
If churches are charities then why are there so many millionaire pastors?
Also, the US government does not print or make money. Bills are made by the federal reserve, owned by the largest banks. Virtual money ei in bank accounts is created out of thin air by banks when they need to extend or give out more loans. When you have a currency not backed by a precious metal, the banks can do what they want, at the price of inflation.@dale74

@Shaun my church pays the priest 13 thousand a year and most of our donations are for schools hospitals foreign aid and local communities. And I do understand what you mean by certain examples but there are many churches that do not operate in that manner. For example Catholic Presbyterian Lutheran and Episcopalian all have limits and set Charities that certain percentages of their income go to.
they shold tax them like any other business
