I Believe In Treating Others With Kindness
One of us in our group was not feeling well and I decided to take the train instead of the bicycle .
It was a major challenge because we were in a different country with a foreign language to me (pun intended).
I texted a friend who sent me the train schedules . Figured out the way to the station and armed with some previously translated phrases, I proceeded to buy our tickets , bicycle included . We made it promptly to our departing train and stored the bicycles in a designated rack.
The train left the station and the inspector came looking for my tickets.... But accidentally had dropped one of them as we were rushing in.
I tried to explain that , but the red faced inspector was clearly upset , yelling and obviously demanding payment . I produced a credit card and he indicated he did not take it.... Well I produced a 50 dollar Euro bill and he got really upset because he wanted the exact amount ....
A lady who had watched the conversation produced the money without hesitation. And the man left happy of winning his little power trip. 馃檮
We figured the rest afterward ( I had different currencies ) . I could not thank her enough . She made sure we knew which station to transfer .
I will pay back this act of kindness .
