I Think Marijuana Should Be Legalized

In Canada 🇨🇦 we have had medical marijuana going back to 2001 or so. We are on our way to legalizing marijuana for recreational use, effective July 1st 2018. This has been really big in the news over the past several months. It has been covered from many different angles. I am not a pot smoker and nor do I plan on becoming one, but there have been stories in the newspaper about older seniors in their 70's, 80's and beyond smoking pot for the first time. They use it for pain and it has worked for them better than prescription medication.

I live in a state where it will be legal for recreational use next year too. SO glad we're moving beyond the nonsense. A great thing for seniors, and even kids with medical needs these days, is that they've figured out how to provide cannabis without the THC that provides the high but with the CBD'S that helps with pain, seizures, inducing appetite and all the other benefits. I think a lot of older people were reticent to use medical cannabis because they'd been told for so long it was 'bad' and they didn't want to get high. It's a win-win.

yeh, like cannabis is going to cure my terminal disease.

but i encourage it's use.

but i'll stay here, it's legal for recreational and medical.
